TutorialTube - Free tutorials

Hi all, got a problem that I can't figure out. I've created two objects that I want to keep separate, but I want one to sit on top of the other. They're both physical, and when I put one on top of the other theres a gap of a couple of inches. I tried creating a phantom surface for the second object to sit on, but when I linked it to the first object, it became physical. Any suggestions?
