TutorialTube - Free tutorials

I have just made a couple of pictures for my friend to use in his real estate advertising in SL (the pics you see when you do a search for rentals etc).

I have made them both 512x512 but I'm not sure whether to save them as 24bit or 32bit tga files when I'm finished. I know with the transparent textures you use 32 but as there is no alpha layers on a normal pic would you just use 24?

I had a look in the SL templates to try work out the right sizes and the sizes are 512x512 @ 150 pixels per inch. Do I use these same sizes for just a normal pic (ie: not clothing)?

I didn't notice it until afterwards and the pics I have made are 512x512 @ 72 pixels per inch. Would it matter much?
